Activities
At Tanglewood Park, we go out of our way to make sure you and your family have a wonderful North Carolina adventure. Our 1,100 acre park truly has it all, from gorgeous grounds to many exciting activities. Join us for games of tennis on the tennis courts, paddle boating or fishing on Mallard Lake, and mountain biking and horseback riding on our wooded trails. Afterward, enjoy a stroll through our arboretum and beautiful gardens.
We even have two 18-hole golf courses right here onsite! You can visit our driving range to brush up your skills, then play a round at the Tanglewood Championship Course, Tanglewood Reynolds Course, or Par-3 Course.
Be sure to plan your RV camping trip at Tanglewood Park for the opportunity to get an inside look at the annual Festival of Lights! Campers receive free admission to the light show.
Our park is set under a canopy of old forest, and filled with scattered open pastures. We have a fun playground for the kids, and plenty of scenic picnic spots. Our swimming pool complex, complete with diving boards, a slide, and a shallow kids’ area, is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year.
There are a number of different accommodation choices at Tanglewood Park. You can bring your own RV and stay in one of our 40+ campsites, all set up with the latest facilities. If you prefer, spend a night or two at the Tanglewood Manor House Bed and Breakfast Inn, a lovely restored Victorian home that dates back to 1859. We also have a charming guest house, a guest apartment and four rustic rental cottages.. Whether you are traveling with the kids or planning a family reunion, we have just the amenities you are looking for.
During your stay, do not miss the chance to take day trips to local attractions like Old Salem or the luxurious Reynolda House. Our area is filled with several museums and cultural centers, from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts to the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Arts. You can catch a sporting event at Wake Forest University or the Truist Stadium, or spend a day exploring the restaurants and shops of Winston-Salem. With all there is to do in our area, we know you are going to love camping in North Carolina with us!
Tanglewood Park is open every day of the year except Christmas Day. Pets are allowed at no added charge, provided that they are maintained on a leash, kept reasonably quiet, and are not left unattended. We have shelters and indoor facilities available for group rental events. A major grocery chain store is just across the street from the entrance into Tanglewood Park, and we are conveniently located right off I-40.
We look forward to seeing you here at Tanglewood Park!
